What does it take to shape an idea and turn it into a reality? Synergising design, robotics, the social sciences and creative confidence – build the soft and hard skills you need to begin inventing a better future with technology.
KEEPIN’ IT SHORT & SNAPPY
No programming experience necessary – the only requirement is curiosity and an open mind

All you need to know
At Saturday Kids, we point out the stars and provide kids rockets so they can shoot for the moon. But we understand that the distance between an idea and reality – between where we are and where we want to be – can be daunting, discouraging, and stop kids from dreaming big all together.
We want to equip kids with grit, encourage them to get their hands dirty tinkering with tech, and cultivate their creative confidence to communicate their big ideas, seek genuine feedback, and receive constructive criticism.
With these superpowers in their toolbox, they’ll be all set to take on the world’s big questions and whatever life throws at them, and make an impact in their own unique way.
What is VIVIWARE Cell
VIVIWARE Cell is a new prototyping tool that sits at the intersection of programming and robotics and can help you bring your ideas to live. With 11 components encompassing sound, light, motion, sensors and more, it allows for creative combinations to encourage kids to tinker, build, and create. With VIVIWARE Cells, the possibilities are only limited by your imagination.
Please see following site for examples of work created using VIVIWARE Cells.
Oh! The stuff you'll learn
In this introductory project-based workshop synergising design and robotics, we begin inventing a better future with the power of technology through the making of barrier free designs using VIVIWARE Cells. The kids would be shown an example of how they can combine a design idea with VIVIWARE Cells and then asked to replicate or design their own barrier free design. In this workshop, kids would be encouraged to:
Think creatively and critically using empathy
Ideate and prototype a solution to a real world problem
Tinker with hardware and coding
Think on their feet & find their unique voice
Life skills you'll learn
Design Thinking
Logical Thinking
Presentation Skills
Problem Solving
Pedagogy
No lectures. No memorisation. No ONE right answer. Like real life, we're all about trying things out yourself, failing, figuring what went wrong & trying again. These are the skills & mindset that will last a lifetime and how we learn in real life. Let's get kids to learn how to learn. Because the kids who learn to learn become curious, inventive, resourceful human beings who solve real world problems to make a meaningful impact.
"I give the thumbs up. The environment is conducive, the trainers are knowledgeable, friendly and approachable. Last but not least, I am impressed by what they had learn over a short span of time."
"Adam enjoyed himself immensely throughout the 5 days camp. He requested to reach class earlier and when he was home, he continued working on his coding projects after dinner. I’ve never seen him so serious about anything before."
"My 8 year old son loved the course and kept raving about how fun it was. I think he’s also proud that he could create a game which is self motivating. Last night Friday before he slept, he said “I wished there is class tomorrow!”
